During the ceremony and reception we barely even noticed Ilia taking photos which allowed us to act natural the entire time and she shot some amazing photos then. On your wedding day I’ll be there when you need me, and completely out of your way when you don’t. I am my most creative when left to explore – that’s when I’m able to capture those amazing shots of you and your guests that you may never have even noticed happening. I look for the real and raw stuff – the hilarious, tender and heartfelt moments, while also capturing creative inventive imagery that sets your wedding images apart. My style of photography is primarily documentary but I also blend in creative portraiture to give you those incredible images in beautiful locations – often client favorites for printing and displaying in their homes.
I’ve documented 200+ weddings in 8 countries over the past decade and have experience photographing a variety of traditional and non-traditional weddings. I’m unobtrusive but will step in when needed to provide the direction you need in a relaxed and easy going way. I promise you that I will not make your wedding day a photoshoot. Instead, I want you to fully immerse yourself in your day and know that I will be there to document it all in beautifully composed, timeless and honest imagery.

Simply reach out and say hello! Tell me a little about who you are as a couple and what you’re looking for in a photographer or videographer. Once I receive your note, we’ll set a time for a call, video chat or in person consultation to make sure we’re the right fit. Communication before the wedding is key and it’s so important that we get the opportunity to connect beyond email before making a booking official. I want you to feel 100% confident that I’m the right photographer or videographer for you. Once we confirm a booking I’ll send you my “Getting to Know You” questionnaire. Together we’ll start planning your engagement photo session and wedding / elopement day coverage.
What’s your style? What will our wedding day coverage look like?
My approach to documenting weddings is primarily photojournalistic, with a blend of romantic and creative portraiture. Your photographs will typically be a combination of the following:
Documentary Coverage – The REAL STUFF! The raw emotion and moments you may not have noticed happening around you. These images allow you to relive your joyful day time and time again. Read more about my style and documentary wedding photography HERE.
Creative Portraiture – I always carve out time during the day (or night!) for some amazing creative portraits. I love brainstorming ideas with my clients and creating unique one of a kind artistic portraiture.
Formal Family Portraits – It’s so important to build time in our schedule for lightly posed images of you with your family and special loves ones who are sharing your wedding day with you. These are the photos that become part of the family archives and their importance and significance only grows deeper over the years. I always enjoy seeing these photos shared years down the road on social media, especially on certain occasions like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Editorial / Details – My approach is primarily documentary but I will still capture all of the special details you put so much thought into.
Do you have backup equipment and do you backup the images?
Yes and yes. I shoot with two cameras and have additional backup cameras, lenses, audio and lighting equipment. I also backup images on two external hard drives after every wedding.
How many photos do we get and how long does it take to receive them?
I will send a preview (typically 5 – 10 images for photography coverage and a 1 min. highlight video for videography coverage within 1 – 2 weeks of your wedding day. For all of the images and / or your full video highlight to be delivered, the turnaround time is 4 – 8 weeks. Of course, quality is far more important that quantity, but to give you an idea, I typically deliver about 75 – 100 images / hour of coverage.
Do we have the rights to print the photos ourselves?
Yes, you certainly do. You will receive an online gallery where you can download all of the images in high resolution and print them as you wish. You and your family / friends may also order prints through the online gallery if you prefer that I take care of the printing.
Do you photograph weddings with a second photographer?
A majority of the weddings I photograph are photographed solo however I typically will have a second videographer or assistant for video coverage. Of course, there are times when a second photographer is very useful (if there are logistical challenges, the guest list is over 150, or you just want extra coverage) so there are times I will bring along a second photographer.
Can we see a full wedding that you have photographed?
Absolutely! I’d LOVE for you to look through a few full galleries that I’ve delivered to clients so you have a strong idea of what your photographs will look like.
Can we meet you before the wedding day?
Absolutely! It’s important that we establish a great connection prior to your wedding day so that you feel 100% comfortable and confident with me as your photographer or videographer during such a monumental day in your lives. I will always ensure that we have some sort of contact beyond email before you book with me so that you know you booked just the right person to tell your story.
Do you design albums and make prints?
Yes! I custom design archival fine art albums and prints. During our initial consultation I would be happy to share some samples with you.
